Nova Scotia March Break at the Beach ! March 10 – 19, 2017
Friday, March 10th - Sunday, March 19th

Ready…. Set … get ready for a GR8 March Break week at the beach!
Pack your bathing suits (and mitts) and bring the family pets and make plans to have a fun March Break right here at White Point. We’ve got 10 fun-filled days ready to roll perfect for families of all shapes, sizes and interests.

In honour of Canada’s 150th Anniversary this year, in addition to our daily bonfires, marshmallow roasts, dips in the pool, storytime, live entertainment and facepainting, our daily afternoon ‘family feature event’ will weave us through a celebration of Canada.

Knowing you’ll be here with the kids, here are our Dining Room Hours (reservations for Dinner are recommended):
Breakfast: 8am – 11am
Lunch: 12pm – 2pm daily
Dinner: 5pm – 8pm
Munchie menu will be 12pm – 9pm daily except for Friday & Saturday nights when it will be until 10pm

Friday March 10:
Evening S’mores Bonfire kick-off to March Break!
Evening: NIGHT HIKE! Bundle up and we’re heading out after dark to journey to the stars with Dark Sky Interpreter Paul Lalonde (7:30pm)

Saturday March 11:
Afternoon: Chocolate Creations with Chef Alan
Evening: Rockin’ Rod family Karaoke Dance Party

Sunday March 12: Full Worm Moon will shine brightly too!
Afternoon: Mi’Kmaq Heritage Day with Acadia First Nation and Sipuke’l Gallery. Join us to make & roast bannock, learn some Mi’Kmaq songs and more.
Evening: Big Screen Movie Night
Artist in Residence: Nancy Norklun, Especially for You

Monday March 13:
Gone Fishing! Indeed our Nova Scotia Fishing Guides Vinal Smith and Carroll Randall will have you casting and learning all about fishing in Nova Scotia. (Fishing in our area)
Evening: Big Screen Movie Night
PLUS: Flip-it Challenge in the evening for Teens & T’weens!

Tuesday March 14:
Afternoon: Parks Canada Day at White Point, prepare to embark on an adventure, it is Canada’s 150th after all!
Evening: Bonfire Sing-Along & Marshmallow Roast
PLUS: Kedge Galaxy Paint Night for Teens & T’weens!
Artist in Residence: Jane Steele,

Wednesday March 15:
Afternoon: Wild Axe Lumberjack Show – Come on! Try your hand at log rolling, sawing and even axe throwing! Lumberjack Darren Hudson is back again this year to host this fun afternoon.
Evening: Rockin’ Rod Carnival Karaoke Dance Party
Artist in Residence: Janet & Laurie Clattenburg, Painting and Sliver Jewelry from recycled utensils
Performing in the Lounge (8 – 11pm): Doris Mason

Thursday March 16:
Afternoon: Get Tied Up … All for Knot will have you learning about and making many nautical and traditional knots!
Evening: Big Screen Movie Night
PLUS: Flip-it Challenge in the evening for Teens & T’weens!

Friday March 17: Happy St. Patrick’s Day – we’re all about green today!
Afternoon: We’re diving ‘Beneath the Sea’ with our friends from Bluenose Coastal Action Foundation . They’ll have us exploring beneath and above the sea as we dive into the green waves.
Evening: Lov’in our Plovers! The Piping Plover is a tiny endangered species bird that has flown up from The Bahamas and other southern destinations in the winter to spend the summer in Nova Scotia – and here at White Point! Come learn about ‘EP’ , ‘ET’ , ‘EL’, ‘E4, ‘E2’ – our babies and their fellow birds with Sue Abbot of Bird Studies Canada and Wendy Coolen, our very own Plover Steward here at White Point.

Saturday March 18:
Afternoon: Happy Canada 150: Puppet & Magic Show with Fairytale Puppets
Evening: Rockin’ Rodd Family Karaoke Dance Party
Artist in Residence: Marie Davis, Fabric Art (and creator of our much-loved Bunnies in the Gift Shop)
Performing in the Lounge (8 – 11pm): Cas McCrae

Sunday March 19:
March Break wrap-up! Whew … what a great week!

Of course all of our events are complimentary with your stay, PLUS all of this is included with your stay as well:

  • Games room with Table Tennis, Shuffleboard, Fooseball & more
