Spend the day at White Point, with celebrated Nova Scotia based professional photographer, Adam Cornick. Adam has an eye for the perfect shot, and a talent for “drawing the viewer in, as if they are experiencing the scene themselves… like they are walking into it.”

Throughout this workshop you will learn how to be confident with your camera in Manual Mode, capturing the images your eyes or imagination can see. We will cover photography topics from the basic camera functions to the more advanced techniques like off camera flash, long exposure images, astrophotography and editing images in Adobe Lightroom to take them to the next level.

This 2-night package will include:

Introduction and Discussion:
You’ll review Adams body of work, and discuss techniques used to capture the images, including long exposures, shallow depth of field, light painting, sports action, astrophotography and more.

Photo Basics and Shooting in Manual Mode:
Shutter Speed ~ Aperture ~ ISO ~ Spot Focusing ~ Histograms

Camera Gear:
Landscapes using graduated filters and tripods
Sports/Action photography
Portraits – off-camera flash and reflectors

Break for Lunch

Practical Shooting Session: You’ll head out to the beach and surrounding areas to capture landscapes and portraits using the techniques and equipment that have been discussed.

Editing Session: Importing your captured shots into Adobe Lightroom, you’ll learn the editing process Adam would use for his commercial and personal work.
