Making Your Stay Safe

A stay at White Point Beach Resort will look a little different than it did last year, but you’ll find a lot is still the same. Cherishing family traditions, unforgettable days spent in the great outdoors, and authentic East Coast experiences that make your heart sing—and make for amazing memories.

We’re committed to creating a safe space for our guests and staff that adheres to all current provincial COVID-19 policies. As such, we’ve developed our own Nova Scotia Resident policy, instituted enhanced cleaning procedures, and have made some changes to how some amenities are enjoyed across the resort.

Nova Scotia Resident Policy

At this time, we are only accepting guests that are residents of Nova Scotia. Government-issued photo identification as proof of residence will be required upon check-in. We will be reviewing this decision again as the season progresses.

What to expect at White Point Beach Resort in a world with COVID-19

Check-in

  • Guests must enter the Main Lodge for check-in. Masks must be worn inside the Main Lodge.
  • Currently, we have a Nova Scotia Resident Policy in place which means guests must reside in Nova Scotia. During check-in, our Front Desk staff will kindly ask to see your government-issued photo ID to ensure you are a resident of Nova Scotia.
  • A government-issued photo ID is considered a driver’s license, provincial-issued identification card. If your Government-issued photo ID is from somewhere outside of Nova Scotia, you will need to provide a valid Nova Scotia Health Card (with matching name and birthdate to that of the photo ID).
  • While checking in guests will be asked to fill out a COVID-19 assessment and contact tracing form.
  • Please practice social distancing. Keep 6 feet apart from members who are not in your family bubble.

Dining

  • We invite any resident of Nova Scotia to dine with us, no need to stay overnight. However, if we’re hosting a special dining feature for a holiday like Mother’s Day or Valentine’s Day, we will only be accepting overnight guests to ensure there’s space for them. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to give our dining room a call.
  • When seated to eat, you’ll be asked to complete a short assessment and contact tracing form for every meal. Please have your government-issued photo ID on hand.
  • Tables and chairs cannot be moved to create new seating plans. This means, if you are a family of 5, you cannot sit at a table for four and pull up additional seating. Our current floorplan is set up for appropriate social distancing between tables and chairs.

Restaurant Association of Nova Scotia re-opening plan:

  • Masks must be worn until you are seated for food and beverage service. If you need to use the washroom, please put your mask back on until you are seated again.
  • If you’re seated in a chair and are not eating or drinking, you must continue to wear a mask.
  • Guests are not able to mingle while in licensed areas. Even with a mask on, guests are not allowed to stand, and talk to other guests at other tables.
  • If you’d like an alcoholic beverage, you need to be seated. Guests are not permitted to walk to the bar and order a beverage. Guests are not permitted to stand up with alcoholic beverages at any time (must remain seated at all times). If there are seats available, please sit and get comfortable and a server will be right over to take your order. Unfortunately, if there are no seats available you will not be able to served.
