Ready…. Set … get ready for a GR8 March Break week at the beach in honour of our 90th Anniversary!
Pack your bathing suits (and mitts) and bring the family pets and make plans to have a fun March Break right here at White Point. We’ve got 10 fun-filled days ready to roll perfect for families of all shapes, sizes and interests.

In honour of our 90th Anniversary this year, in addition to our daily bonfires, marshmallow roasts, dips in the pool, storytime, live entertainment and facepainting, our daily afternoon ‘family feature event’ will weave us through the decades of family fun … including the yo-yo!

Friday 9th : 
Check-in and get ready for a great March Break Nova Scotia! Let’s kick it off with S’mores for the evening marshmallow roasts !!!

Saturday 10th:
Jester’s Fun! Get “backstage” and try out some acting tips  with our friends from the Liverpool International Theatre Festival. Create your very own  “new look” in a mask making workshop. The Festival hits the stage here in Liverpool at the Astor Theatre, Oct 18-21, 2018!
AND at 7pm: Rockin’ Rod  Dance Karaoke – Rockin Rod is FAMOUS for his family dance parties! Come on kids, grab your “adult” and be a Karaoke Star

Sunday 11th:
Toy Maker of Lunenburg it’s all about the toys this afternoon!
Return-top, spinner, or yo-yo – whatever you call it, wooden toys like these have been a hit since they were officially introduced in 1928…just like us! Come play and Assemble bubble sticks, paddle boats, mini animals, pop-tops and yoyos. Come play with the Toy Maker of Lunenburg and learn how wooden toys like ‘return tops’ or ‘yo-yos’ are made and the art of how they work!  Your kids (and you too) will love the  engaging,  fun-to-play-with and educational toys… Come Play with Us!

Teen Paint Night @ 7:30pm
Teens are invited to join our local artist Sally Oliver to paint their version of ‘Piping Plover’. This evening session is complimentary for teens and includes all materials and supplies – you bring the enthusiasm and interest – let’s paint! Just sign-up at the front desk when you arrive to reserve your spot in the class. Max 16 ppl.

Monday 12th:
Gone Fishing! 12 – 5pm.
Come fishing with us! Nova Scotia Guides will be here to teach you how to cast that rod or improve your existing skills. Onhands learning about tie flying, types of fish and much more to get you ready for our Annual Fishing Derby in May.

3:30pm: Wine & Munchie Tasting for the Big Kids 
Mom and Dad, make your way to the Wine & Munchie Tasting thus afternoon. Check out ‘No Boats on Sunday’ Cider, and some wines from around the world all paired up with Munchies from Executive Chef Alan Crosby!

Today, dive into the Atlantic Ocean and try your hand at SURFING with our friends from East Coast Surf School!

Tuesday 13th:
Chef Alan’s Famous  Chocolate Celebration… or maybe Chaos is a better term!
Taste it, create with it and be quizzed on it ! Chef Alan returns with his one hour long  “Amazing Chocolate Show” – just for kids!!

Wednesday 14th:
A New Life in Canada …What would it be like to leave everything you are familiar with and move to a new country?  Join our friends from  Pier 21: Canadian Museum of Immigration and discover, through fun activities, what a child would experience!
Like us, Pier 21 opened it’s door in 1928 to welcome immigrants – they too share a 90th Anniversary, just like us!

TONIGHT: at 7pm, it’s a Rockin’ Rod  Carnival Dance Party
Get your dancing shoes on, grab your “adult” and come to our carnival!

Thursday 15th:
90 Years of Changing Shorelines  .. We are perched Why are they always changing?  Through trivia, craft and an EarthWalk  with Bluenose Coastal Action Foundation, understand what the shoreline looked like 90 years ago and what it might look like in 90 years from now if we take action!
SPECIAL PRESENTATION: Join us in the Atlantic Room at 7:00pm for a Kids Concert featuring a local, very talented rising star in the Country Music world – Autumn Carver!
Autumn won South Shore Idol in 2017 and has just been named to the opening act line-up for the upcoming concert with headliners Washboard Union on June 15th at Queens Place Emera Centre here in Liverpool. Tonight at the end of her performance, she’ll be giving away a pair of tickets to the June 15th concert too!

Friday 16th:
It’s Parks Canada Day at White Point – an all-day celebration! AND did you know that our neighbor Kejimkujik National Park SEASIDE celebrates it’s 30th Anniversary this year … so much to celebrate, what a gift this seaside oasis is for all of us – today even  ‘Parka’ the Beaver is joining us, he wants you to learn and sing along to his special song

10am – 11:30am: Come learn to pitch a tent with Parks Canada’s Learn-to Camp team!
Parks Canada staff will bring all the materials needed to set up a one-day-only magical indoor campsite. Once the shelter is built, kick up your feet and enjoy a campfire sing-a-long that may or may not feature a special guest that you “wood” not want to miss!

3:30 – 5pm: Parks Canada: Paint Sable Island! (Teen Paint Event)
Make beautiful Sable Island inspired artwork in ways that say: Keep wildlife safe, leave no trace, produce no waste. Create natural dyes using plants such as spinach, raspberries and beets! Use tools you would find at home and your imagination to illustrate that you can help preserve natural resources for years to come. No skills required, all materials provided. For Teens.

Saturday 17th:
Puppetry Show – yes, Kim Majestro is back to set the stage and have fun!
A big day of “getting your green on” – Happy St. Patrick’s Day! while also celebrating White Point’s  90th Birthday with Castle Rock Puppetry.  Birthday Cake, Puppet Shows and the Day of the Irish !!   Could life get much better?

TONIGHT! Rockin’ Rod  Rockin’ Rod  Dance Karaoke @ 7pm
Do you prefer to dance, sing or do you do both ?! Laugh, sing and dance the final Saturday of March Break away.

Sunday 18th: WHEW what a GREAT March Break this has been Nova Scotia!
Have your last walk on the beach, dip in the pool, morning craft or  face paint  for this visit.  The weeks has been a blast and we know you’re dragging your heels about leaving, but hey …   Come Back Soon !!!!!

We know you are going to get hungry!!!
Knowing you’ll be here with the kids, here are our Dining Room Hours (reservations for Dinner are recommended):
Breakfast: 8am – 11am
Lunch: 12pm – 2pm daily
Dinner: 5pm – 8pm
Munchie menu will be 12pm – 9pm daily except for Friday & Saturday nights when it will be until 10pm
