Celebrating Atlantic Canadians All Summer Long
To all of our White Pointers –
On July 18th, 2020 we’ve made the decision to open our doors exclusively to residents of the Atlantic Canadian provinces for the remainder of our summer 2020 season.
“With feedback from our staff, most recent Atlantic Canadian guests, and surrounding communities, we’ve heard their concerns and made the difficult decision to only allow residents of Atlantic provinces to visit White Point for the rest of the summer” says White Point General Manager Dylan Meisner.
We encourage Atlantic Canadians to continue to support the Nova Scotian economy and will re-evaluate the decision to accept bookings from other provinces in September.
“White Point has been a safe haven for its guests for the past 92 years, and we take the responsibility for maintaining this legacy seriously,” says Robert Risley, owner of White Point. “We know this decision may upset our many past guests from other parts of Canada, some who have been part of the White Point family for over 50 years. However, quite simply, there is nothing more important than the safety and well-being of our staff and guests. We look forward to the time when this situation to be over and, once again, we can throw open our doors to the world.”
What does this look like for summer reservations?
- Government-issued ID must be shown upon check-in.
- All reservations must fill out a form indicating that all members of their party are residents of the Atlantic provinces.
- This is for all areas of the resort including our dining room.
From all of us a White Point, we apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause, however, we believe this decision prioritizes the safety of our guests and staff. Thank you for supporting our decision and understanding why we have this temporary policy in place.
