Wearable Art Show exceeds expectations

Sea'spired Wearable Art Show at White Point 2019 2Nova Scotia’s First Wearable Art Show hit the beach on May 11th with more than 20 Artists from across Nova Scotia showcasing their creations. Bespoke, one-of-a-kind works of wearable art captured the imagination and adoration of guests to the show.

In this edition of Sea’spired, White Point Beach Resort’s show curator and Gift Shop Manager, Cathie Pincombe, says she’d been smitten and in awe of the quality and variety of Artists she’s come in contact with over the years.  “I adore discovering and wearing jewelry, clothing accents made right here in Nova Scotia, and as I have witnessed here at White Point, so too do our guests”, says Pincombe.

While the Gift Shop at the Resort already showcases more than 2 dozen wearable artists, the goal of this show was to give these artists and others a chance to take centre stage – and did they ever!

Like local craft beer, wine, foods and experiences, Nova Scotians take pride in supporting local while guests to the province seek out the same. Pairing the Show with Mother’s Day Weekend was intentional, giving Moms and their families a great reason to get out for a day trip.

White Point’s Sea’spired Wearable Art Show ran from 11am – 5pm. Admission for guests, as it was for the participating artists, was FREE and proudly supported by Saltscapes.
