Open House to kick off White Point’s 90th Anniversary

Open House to kick off White Point’s 90th Anniversary

90 years ago.  Wow, one can only imagine what it must have been like when Bostonian Phil Hooper Moore first visited ‘white point’ – let alone the excitement and anticipation he would have felt on the day he opened White Point Lodge in 1928.

After 90 years of great days, White Point has been woven into the fabric of Nova Scotia …even Canada … and, etched into the memories of so many White Pointers. From our perch here on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean along Nova Scotia’s South Shore, together with your support and assistance, we’ve had the pleasure and honour of welcoming hundreds of thousands of guests from around the world, year-round.

2018 is bursting with festivities here at the beach to honour and celebrate 90 years of memories.
On Sunday January 28th from 1:30-3pm we’re hosting an OPEN HOUSE to officially kick it all off. If you are able to join us, we’d love to see you. This is your invitation, and of course, please do feel free to share it – everyone is welcome.

We’ve got such an exciting year ahead. At our Open House, we’ll reveal the full schedule of events, launch our 90th Anniversary Keepsake created with our friends at Saltscapes and invite you to leave your ‘autograph’. We’ve got a number of really neat artifacts that’ll be on display including the company minute book from back in the ‘30’s!  Of course there will be cake (in the shape of a ‘9-0’), and an official welcoming at 2pm that begins with a Smudging Ceremony as we welcome you to Kespukwitk.

We have so many friends, colleagues and family to thank for helping us serve up great days, we can’t wait to celebrate 90 years of memories and embark on the journey to making many more over the coming 90 with you.

On behalf of our owners Robert and Alicia Risley, GM Joanne Veinotte, our and our team here at the beach, we hope to see you on Sunday … it’s going to be a GREAT day!
