Our Piping Plover Dad ‘U3’ spotted on a beach in North Carolina!
Our 2017 Piping Plover Dad ‘U3’ was sighted AND photographed on a shoal 2000 kms away from White Point Beach Resort off the NW flood tidal delta shoal Oregon Inlet off Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. Thanks to Sid Maddock who spotted our Dad, and sent us along these amazing photos – we are so thrilled that U3 is doing so well AND has been sighted!
Banded White Flag U3 on May 31/17 nested with white flag X2 here at White Point, Region of Queens Municipality Nova Scotia. Our family hatched all four eggs, but only one fledged: white flag “M0 who was spotted by Pat and Doris Leary down the coast at Cumberland Island Natl Seashore, GA on Aug 16/17.
