White Point is a year-round birders paradise with opportunities to see upland birds, waterfowl, and sea birds right here on property. The tidal lake behind the resort is home to dozens of waterfowl: Buffleheads, mergansers, and Long-tailed Ducks. Looking out to the open ocean you can see Common Loons in the winter, Eider Ducks, cormorants, grebes, diving ducks, and sometimes even Northern Gannets and Dovekies. Upland birds abound around White Point Estates; listen for the tiny peep of Golden Crowned Kinglets. Illusive Boreal Chickadees, warblers, and woodpeckers can also be found just by taking a short stroll.
