Nova Scotia is Canada’s Ocean Playground, at her lowest tide, the Atlantic offers a stunning stretch of white sand, a truly unique setting paired with a 4 course Taste of Nova Scotia infused dining experience.
Under the cloak of darkness, follow Executive Chef Alan Crosby, Sommelier Dan Tanner and Dark Sky Interpreter Paul Lalonde into the dark, as they guide you on a culinary journey into the night sky, surfside to the stars and back.

Come gather ‘round the bonfire – the original social network – to learn about the constellations in a most illuminating manner. We’ll get started with Sundown Mussels: Steamed over the open fire with chipotle, smoked tomato and cream, let’s give a toast to the evening with Benjamin Bridge Nova 7.
Following the boardwalk to the beach, your seat at the dinner table awaits. Join Chef Alan Crosby as he prepares your next two courses, alongside your table on the beach, paired and served with selections made by our Sommelier Dan Tanner.
From the sea, your second course features Twilight Lobster on Toast: House-baked star brioche, Shelburne County lobster, home-grown tarragon, cream and cognac paired with Blomidon Reserve Chardonnay
As sunset kisses the surf, it’s time for “Darkness” Braised Shortribs: Braised for 6 hours in Boxing Rock’s “The Darkness” dark ale, roasted chilies and cocoa with fennel mash paired with Petite Riviere Italy Cross Red
As darkness falls, it’s time for a beach stroll into the night sky, guided by the starts … and greeted at the far end by a tasting of dark chocolate and Dulche du Leche truffles with smoked sea salt and dark chocolate bark.. With Paul Lalonde as your guide, strolling down the 1km beach you’ll explore the constellations, moon and our shoreline. With ‘night vision’ settling in, you’ll be delighted by what you’ll ‘sea’ as all your senses come alive and your mind soars with the ancient tales of the stars, including the Mi’kmaw and other cultures. Our beach at night is a magical and timeless place to discover.
It’s the perfect evening for a night cap, follow Paul as he leads you to our secret location for a Blind Wine Tasting with Sommelier Dan Tanner. With blindfolds donned, Dan will tease your palate through five of Nova Scotia’s Vineyards. One at a time, you’ll sip and savour his star-studded selection, being rewarded with a greater awareness and appreciation of the evolving and distinct Tastes of Nova Scotia.
