My Memories
White Point means so many different things to so many people.
Some guests say that White Point is more of a feeling and something
they can't put into words -- but we love to hear them try. If
you can find a way to put White Point into words, grab a pen and
some paper. Whether it's a one-liner or an essay, a poem or a
paragraph, we'd love to hear from you.
Please send your White Point memories to webworld@whitepoint.com.
Here are some of our favourites. If you've never been to White
Point before, we hope that this page will give you some sense
as to what we're all about
White Point
As we drove down the hill,
I noticed the excitement,
In my brothers eyes.
As he saw the waves
crashing along the beach
And the bunnies playing
On the grass.
I knew that it was going to be
A good two days at White Point.
I ran to the beach
I saw two dogs chasing a frisbee.
And lilies blowing in the wind
That night I took my dog for a walk.
I heard the crickets chirping I the tall grass.
This was a great first day
Of a good vacation.
I love spending time with my family
At the cottage in the winter.

Granny Skipping Rocks
It was amazing, the time you learned your grandmother could skip
rocks better than anyone you knew.
It was when your whole family -- cousins, aunt, uncle, grandparents
and everyone - rented those cottages by the sea with the real
wood burning fireplaces for a few days one fall. Just to get together
and get away.
You learned a lot of things at that family reunion back when
you were nine. Your Dad showed you how to find Orion in the night
sky. And in the lodge dining room one evening, your Uncle Bill
taught you that trick with the quarter that made you laugh so
hard you thought milk was going to come out your nose. It was
when you found out that, finally, you could beat your big sister
racing from one end of the indoor pool to the other. And you and
your cousin Jamie spent hours perfecting the art of cheating at
Monopoly.
Even now the gentle smell of a crackling fire takes you back
to those bright, crisp days when autumn was better than summer.
When Granny skipped rocks across the ocean for what seemed like
forever. When anything was possible.
Come back and do it all again. Bring the kids, bring your parents.
Heck, call Jamie and see if he can get away from the real estate
business for a few days. Come to White Point this fall. And discover
each other.
