Snowman
in 3D
Materials
Needed:
-Several
colours of construction paper
-Cotton
Balls
-Glue
-Scissors
-Pencil
Instructions:
1.
On a full sheet of dark coloured construction paper, lightly draw
three circles in the shape of a snowman.
2.
Place lots of small dots of glue inside the circles. You don't
need much glue to make the cotton balls stick.
3.
Start sticking the cotton balls on until you have filled up the
circles and you have what
looks
like a fluffy white snowman on your paper.
4.
Now all your snowman needs is a top hat, a face with a carrot
nose,
buttons
and arms! We suggest that you draw each item with your pencil
before
cutting them out.
5.
Once again, you need only a very small amount of glue to make
these items stick.
For
the tree branch arms, we suggest that you stick the "hands"
to the actual piece of construction paper and then to the body
of your snowman. They will stick better that way.
You
can be as creative as you like with this snowman - he doesn't
have to have a top hat - why not give him a toque or even a baseball
hat? And as for his arms, maybe he needs some mittens on his hands!
And when you are finished, you might even want to draw a scene
around him on the construction paper. All you need is a set of
markers to add a raging snowstorm or a house in the background.
Hey, you could even draw yourself standing next to your snowman
- now there's an idea!
Happy
Holidays!
