Renovation Update July 16/12: Guest Rooms & Cottages

Posted by White Point Beach Resort Team on July 16th, 2012

While the Main Lodge and its construction receives the majority of the attention these days,  there are a number of renovations underway that we are as equally excited to share with you!

Below are pictures from Seaview Room 113 and Oceanfront Cottage 44. These are two sample rooms that illustrate enhancements and renovations we have undertaken while we have been closed for the re-build.

You’ll note that the rooms are a bright, crisp off-white and that the bed coverings and curtains have been replaced. In the bathrooms, there are new vanities and in the guest rooms, the carpeting has been replaced. In the case of the cottages, they have had their floors refurbished and are looking much lighter, and brighter as well. Roofs have been replaced where needed, decks trimmed and exterior of some buildings repainted as well.

While the extensive amenities within our accommodations have always been appreciated – from the complimentary wi-fi to the in-bath soap dispensers and even the recycling and composting bins – we are particularly excited to introduce microwaves and flat screen TVs.

When we re-open in November, indeed our guest rooms and cottages will have a fresh, yet familiar, feel with new features we know you will welcome, take a peek at the pictures below – what do you think?

I LOVE all the upgrades and additions to the rooms/cottages. The floors in the cottages have come up beautifully :-) Amazingly brightens the whole room. The color scheme in the rooms is beautiful but I fell in love with the bed in the cottages!!! I know it is all the same colors and materials but used in different functions. Love the plaid bedspread with the butter yellow bedskirt. Beautiful. I want to sit in the corner in a cozy chair and read a great book and admire that bed!!! I have to come stay even if I am only a couple hours away :-) Great job for making me want to be there right now. I am positive I am not the only one with those feelings :-) Have A GREAT DAY :-) Dad says “Hi” and he loves the upgrades too. He said they are quite tiddly now!! Take care all.

Everything looks wonderful and I cannot wait to try them out. Too bad they aren’t available right now as I would be down. Right on the beach. sigh.

I love the appearance of the renovations. My two girls, grand-daughter and I have been going to White Point for several summers and staying in a cottage. We have always enjoyed ourselves there in this friendly, relaxing atmosphere. We have had nothing but pleasant times!
Can’t wait to return next summer.
