Quilting is surfing along on the White Point Quilt

Posted by White Point Beach Resort Team on June 18th, 2012

May and June have been busy months for the Quilt and it’s not letting up!
We spent time with the Queens Quilters, we’ve been to school at the Liverpool Junior High, to the Quilt Canada Show & Share (May 31/12) and in a couple of days, we’ll be in Toronto at Queens Quay for the Red Path Festival – Saltscapes Expo.

Bev has been busy letting the creativity take over and letting the stitches flow. Take a peek at the pieces to date here, can’t wait to have the folks in TO add theirs. Once we return, we’re heading to Barrington for a Quilting Party, up to the Queens Manor to have some seasoned quilters add their stitches and July 19 – we’re off to the Tall Ships Fest in Halifax with our White Point team in the Taste of Nova Scotia Tent! Believe we may even be heading to Digby too!

Indeed many hands make light work!

Bev says she has been enjoying the adventure thus far and much like Frances Jewel Dickson the author of Destination White Point, Bev has been capturing stories and stiches of White Pointers – the quilt will tell its own story, our story.
